Time2Talk have been around since 1989 and we are a registered charity. All our services are free to those aged under 25. The service is operated day to day by trained staff and volunteers and the organisation is overseen by a board of trustees who are themselves volunteers. We are independent, and very much a part of a network of similar agencies in Northamptonshire and we work closely with other organisations that provide services for young people

Although based in the Daventry District we are involved in projects all over the county of Northamptonshire.
What services can we offer?
Time2Talk offer counselling based support using what’s known as Person Centred counselling skills. This means we won’t talk at you or tell you what we think you should do. We give YOU the time to talk about the issues that are affecting you so that you can reflect and decide for yourself what the best course of action might be. We can help you explore the options that you have available. Sometimes just talking or offloading to a complete stranger in a structured way can really help. The main thing is you; the client must want to do it. It’s no good if someone is forcing you to have ‘counselling’ or you come in because you have been told you have to, the process just won’t work and what’s more it isn’t ethical! It’s vital as well that you fully understand what the process entails.
