Counselling

We help young people going through a difficult time with their emotional wellbeing.   Counselling is a more formal process and it’s something that the young person must want to do themselves. Sessions are by appointment, agreed in advance and will be on the same day and time each week with the same counsellor and are one to one, face to face OR remote.

We can offer 6 sessions, up to 8 on some occasions. Counselling can help with a number of issues such as anxiety, self-harm, low mood and a range of things in between.

Referral routes

Time2Talk accept referrals that meet our criteria from a range of people including GP’s, CAHMS, Children’s trusts, schools, Parents and carers (with the young person’s full informed consent and agreement) and self-referrals. To make a referral you can call us on 01327 706706 or see the referral section above.

Urgent Support

Please be aware that Time2Talk is not an emergency service and we are unable to offer a help line. If you think you need urgent or crisis support though don’t hesitate to contact your own GP, the NHS’s 111 number or 999 if the situation is life threatening
